In-House System Integration:
AVS utilizes dedicated space to integrate and test systems in-house as much as possible before installation.
AVS facilities accommodate initial operational tests on all equipment, internal wiring, equipment configurations and programming. This allows us to maximize our staff’s efficiency, while minimizing impact to your facility.
AVS' integration team has one of the most experienced integration teams in the industry. Members of AVS' integration team even competed in the industry's annual rack building competition.
AVS employees took part in the 2008 Rack Challenge at InfoComm. The team was awarded Best Design and Best Dressed Rack, and came in second overall in the competition. Read about them here
AVS is proud to have established and maintained an in-depth training program for those wanting to learn the ins-and-outs of the audiovisual industry. AVS’ training programs are based on the standards developed by InfoComm, the audiovisual industry’s largest trade association. Our trainers have multiple InfoComm certifications and actively participate in the industry and InfoComm’s latest educational programs.
Many of our integration engineers went through a 90-day in-house training program i which they learned including: cable terminations, structural mounting, projector alignment, rack building, drawing interpretation, project scheduling, audio/video litany while also studying for their InfoComm CTS Certification.
AVS's integration department continues to keep up with the latest techniques and technology in the industry. The Senior Technicians even hold regular in-house training classes for newer staff. Here are some pictures of those classes:
The AVS Integration team has experience and expertise in many areas. And sometimes they go "above" and beyond! For example, one member of our integration team, Derek, reached new heights when AVS was called to assist with some cabling on one of Herndon-based Cox Cable's towers. See the pictures here:
