AVS hits three tradeshows across the country at the same time! |
|
November 1 and 2, 2011, was a busy time for us here at AVS, as we had presence at three different tradeshows, in three different regions across the country, all at the same time. Local to our Chantilly, VA office, AVS  exhibited at the first ever GovComm show held at the Washington Convention Center in Washington, DC. Put on by InfoComm International, GovComm was the first tradeshow dedicated to showcasing audiovisual and information communications solutions for the government marketplace and contractors that service it. To display our capabilities, AVS exhibited a fully functional integrated command and control center solution. It was the largest tradeshow AVS has ever participated in, and was a very large success for us!
On top of everything taking place at GovComm, AVS employees from our Huntsville, Ala. office exhibited at the Huntsville/Madison County Business Expo while our newest employee from our Honolulu, Hawaii office participated at TechNet Asia-Pacific 2011. It was quite the busy week for all three AVS offices! |

 Just announced, AVS was ranked #14 in the annual Systems Contractor News Top 50 Systems Integrators for the year 2011. The list ranks the top systems integrators in the U.S. and Canada by their projected 2011 revenue.
Also this year, AVS was named the No. 1 Top Small Technology Company in the DC Metro Region in 2011 by the Washington Business Journal. This is the sixth year in a row that AVS was ranked in the top 10, moving up from last year's No. 2 spot.
And last but not least, Inc. Magazine ranked AVS No. 3303 on its 2011 Inc. 5000 list of the fastest-growing private companies in  America, moving up nearly 2,000 spots from 2008.

Office Spotlight!

This past October AVS  sponsored two teams from the Fairfax County Police – SWAT division to compete at the 2011 National Capital Region SWAT Competition.
The yearly event took place at the Fairfax County Police Department Firearms Range, where teams competed in the handgun, obstacle challenge, sniper-initiated assault and tactical rescue events. Teams were scored on speed, accuracy and the perfection of missions. Fairfax did a fantastic job, taking 1st and 2nd place! We were happy to support our local police department, and the employees who attended were excited to be part of such a prominent community event. |
