AV DESIGN AND ENGINEERING SUPPORT
The AVS Engineering team is comprised of designers and engineers who specialize in audio/video design and integration. At AVS, fully integrated drawing packages and technical planning documents are an essential part of a complete architectural or interior design effort for a facility. Our engineering staff is responsible for requirements analysis, systems design, equipment selection, detailed electrical designs and installation plans generated for each project. Starting from base floor plans, our design engineers layer audio/video systems components, system lighting, furniture placement, as well as equipment and rack placements for each project. Additionally, engineering and project management arranges and implements schedules including trade coordination for maximum on-site efficiency. AVS also has a dedicated technical writing group tasked to support the engineering effort by documenting test plan/procedures and custom-written operating instructions for most projects.

AVS employs highly experienced installation engineers who fully integrate and test specialized audio/video systems in both the commercial and government sectors. All control systems programming is integrated and tested in-house to ensure the highest level of support and quality to our customers.

LIGHTING DESIGN AND INSTALLATION SERVICES
An integral part of the overall A/V system design is the architectural and presentation requirements for the lighting employed within a system. At the beginning of the process, AVS designers/system engineers address lighting requirements for both the environmental and presentation needs of the system. Design concepts and plans are often detailed in AutoCAD drawings and integrated into full architectural packages. AVS specifies state-of-the-art components to supply lighting systems that support room dimming, video teleconferencing applications, presentations, and environmental requirements. AVS is a Class A Virginia Contractor and licensed electrical contractor with specialization in UPS and other sensitive power applications, as well.
SERVICE AND MAINTENANCE
The AVS Service Department operates from the AVS corporate offices and provides an exceptional staff of talented and experienced technicians on call to troubleshoot new system maintenance issues. AVS offers a variety of service plans to ensure rapid response, repair and/or replacement of equipment, and special rates for service calls and repairs of all AVS and non-AVS installed equipment.
