AUDIO VIDEO SYSTEMS RANKED #3 FOR SMALL TECHNOLOGY COMPANIES WASHINGTON BUSINESS JOURNAL'S BOOK OF LISTS 2007

Chantilly, VA – December 26, 2006 – Audio Video Systems, Inc., (AVS) a fast growing provider of audio video (A/V) systems integration and engineering has been named to the Washington Business Journal's Book of Lists 2007 for Small Technology Companies. Ranked #3 in their first year of submission, AVS' entry was based on 2005 Revenues. The announcement, made in the October 6 issue of the Washington Business Journal and published this week in the Book of Lists scores AVS among the top three companies in the region along with ImmixGroup and CarahSoft Technology.

Matt Komos, AVS' Chief Operating Officer, credits the company's growth with the successful completion of a major part of the Pentagon Renovation (PENREN) project in 2005. “Our trusted relationships between the PENREN team and AVS drove the company during one of the biggest years since incorporation in 1992.” The firm's engineering team draws from decades of experience in classified video teleconferencing (VTC), Secure Classified Information Facilities (SCIF), control systems programming, Custom Designed Common AV Distribution System software (CADS) and intercom/paging systems.

AVS provides VTC information security solutions encrypted and isolated to meet DES and NSA standards. For complete A/V solutions, AVS can also provide the actual encryption device for use in secure video teleconferencing. The AVSIM-530 provides a secure method for dialing and wiring of a complete secure video conferencing system with a KIV-7 or KIV-7M Encryption devices in a single rack unit with remote controllable format. The secure/non-secure switch in the AVSIM-530 provides the ability to switch an encryption device inline for classified VTC calls while still allowing the system to also make unclassified calls.

As one of the largest Small Technology Companies in the region, AVS joins other integrators and IT development firms. “We are thrilled to be included in this ranking. With a corporate focus on complex A/V systems, our core mission remains in engineering and technology. We bring together the data, voice, video and audio collaboration required in today's mission critical systems for the government.” Komos commented.
