The Process

At AVS, every project is an interactive process between you and our team. We work with you to develop a proposal outlining your requirements, goals and timelines. The AVS proposal process includes a detailed, on-site needs analysis, allowing us to craft a custom design-build solution that facilitates critical coordination issues such as lighting, electrical, construction and furniture integration. Once your system is in place, you will continue to enjoy value-added service from AVS with comprehensive user-training and a number of maintenance options.

A solution is only as good as the team that designs it. At AVS, we employ highly experienced professionals to ensure exceptional results. Our expert team is comprised of designers, engineers, project managers, field technicians and countless support personnel who work together on every high-quality, economic solution we provide. Since our incorporation in 1992, AVS has grown to occupy more than 70,000 square feet of office, engineering and integration space. We now employ approximately 100 full-time project managers, system engineers, field engineers and support personnel. AVS has a dedicated Project Management staff and Design/Engineering/Field Staff specialized in system implementation of audio, video, control, lighting and video teleconferencing systems.

AVS is a Diamond Level Solutions Provider under the audiovisual (AV) industry’s prestigious AudioVisual Solutions Provider (AVSP) Program. The Diamond designation certifies that 50 percent of all Customer Service, Sales and Technical staff at AVS have and maintain general or advanced CTS certificati on or InfoComm Academy course completion under InfoComm International’s Certified Technology Specialist (CTS) credential program. AVS first obtained the Diamond Level status in 2006 and remains near the top of the industry for having such a high percentage of staff with industry certifications. The award further demonstrates AVS’ commitment to continuing education and training for staff at all levels.

AVS has been ranked in the top ten, for the last five years, by the Washington Business Journal’s “Book of Lists” for Small Technology Companies for the Washington, D.C. region. Most recently, for the 2009 and 2010 lists, AVS was ranked second.

PRO AV Magazine’s Annual Spotlight Awards

Pro AV Magazine’s Spotlight Awards Program recognizes the best professional AV installations designed for corporate, educational, and other non-residential applications.

AVS has received an award for the “Best Government AV Project (Federal)” in 2008, 2009 and 2010.

• The 2008 award was for the installation at the U.S. Marine Corps Forces Pacific Headquarters Command Operations Center (MARFORPAC COC) in Hawaii.
• The 2009 award was given for the installation the AV system in the Press Briefing Room (PBR) at the Pentagon in Arlington, VA.
• In 2010, AVS received the award for the installation of classroom systems across the U.S. as part of the U.S. Army’s TRADOC Classroom XXI Modernization Program.

SYSTEMS CONTRACTOR NEWS - Top 50
