AVS operates from its corporate headquarters in Chantilly, Virginia, minutes from downtown Washington, D.C., and less than three miles from Dulles International Airport.
The 72,000 square foot facility uses the latest technologies available for minimizing environmental impact and maximizing energy conservation. It was constructed to achieve Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design (LEED) Certification.
AVS headquarters building has more than 20,000 square feet of warehouse and integration space and a state-of-the-art gigabit Ethernet network to support video conferencing, video broadcast and video surveillance, data, and voice over IP. It also hosts office space for more than 150 technical and administrative staff and has a variety of conference room facilities, and multiple integration spaces.
The facility allows AVS to provide enhanced systems monitoring, service deployment and engineering technical support to its customers 24 hours a day and seven days a week. Many of AVS' customers expect 24/7 availability of their systems, and in order to achieve that, AVS technical staff is available through a 24/7 call center as well as the company website. The headquarters building has a centralized UPS system for the technical power supply with a backup generator for the entire facility.
